These are two of my stylized impression of the Lions – the distinctive twin peaks that look over Burrard Inlet between Vancouver and North Vancouver. This is part view from our bedroom and part view from one of the many little parks in our neighbourhood, which is called Burrardview by the locals.

The original ink drawing took several evening sessions to draw. I then rendered the drawing in Affinity Designer so that I could have a vector version to play with and am now trying out all sorts of effects and colour combinations.

There is a lot I am thankful for in my life and recently I am very grateful to be rediscovering my creative side. It always feels like a Saturday when I’m drawing.
