Imagine a world full of people living their feels-like-a-Saturday lives
What is feels like a Saturday? To me it is the sense of well-being, enjoyment and satisfaction that comes from doing what we love to do, being where we love to be, adding value in some way, and being with people we genuinely like and respect. It’s easier to get this feeling on the first day of a weekend – Saturday for many of us. Waking up and knowing we have that entire day to do more of what we choose and that Sunday can be another day of the same before returning to the regularly scheduled workweek. When we’re very fortunate, what we do during the week within the sphere of both our personal and work lives can also feel like a Saturday. I know this, as I have experienced it. I want to create more of it!
In my work and studies, I am all about understanding what inspires “feels like a Saturday” in life, both personally and in our work. It’s exploration within and without to illuminate how we can be our best and happiest self.
I believe when we are living in authenticity, we are striving to be and evolve our best and happiest self.
As an executive coach, my purpose is as a catalyst to help people become more authentically aligned with who they want to be, gaining crystal clarity on their unique drivers: core values, core talents and interests, their purpose (mission or why they believe they exist); and their vision (a clear image of what they want to create). From this place of authenticity and clarity, it can become more easeful to identify and gain momentum on goals that really matter to you. From this place, we are naturally inspiring more of that Saturday feeling all week long.
Take it another step into your work life, as a leader or player, authenticity, clarity and momentum play a role at the individual, team and greater organization. Grounded in your own self purpose and authenticity, it can become easier to extend this into your work, no matter what level you are at, but in particular for people who lead. Crystal clarity on those same unique drivers matters – for you and the collective organization. Leadership coaching includes looking at complexities of structure, HR, politics and culture* as well as the three key factors**: business results, leadership behaviours and team interactions. Our work can include strategy, change management, transformation and performance in tandem with individual and professional development.
Regardless, coaching is centred on you, in service of and for you, and it’s up to you where we go in the coaching conversation and what you choose to take forward. My only agenda (coming from my purpose) is to help make a difference as a thinking and learning partner in your journey.
My purpose (mission statement)
My commitment as your coach is to serve in helping you deeply understand your own authentic self, as a catalyst for clarity, alignment and transformation, and as a thinking and learning partner in generating momentum towards your goals.
Everyday when I open my eyes, it feels like a Saturday.
